If our cat had their way, the tree would have been like this from day one. However, this year, we literally put up a protective fence around the tree - it's the only way to keep them out of it. It looked like our Christmas tree was serving time in a maximum security prison, but hey, when you have two cats (and one of them is orange) and you still want a fully decorated Christmas tree, you have to get creative.

As much as we love the meowgic of winter, we're really more summer people. Our cats hate the cold, too. Cats lack a thick undercoat that's required to survive winter weather, like Huskies or foxes have), and they have several parts of their body that lose heat quickly. Mainly the ears, paws, and tail. That's okay, though, that's why they have us! We'll be their purrsonal heating pads - it's a win-win scenario for us.
